Hello World.

I just have done my first video job interview. The interviewers showed up on my iPad on time and we spoke (I spoke) for 30 minutes.

I have given a lot of thoughts to get myself best prepared for this video chatty time. Here are some of my considerations which might be helpful for any video interviewees.

1. Get your Plan A ready and have a Plan B
Upon being notified about the video interview, decide which equipment and video conferencing programme you are going to use. Make sure you have everything. Check all hardware, software and network to see if they are working fine 30 minutes before the interview is going to be on air.

Make a Plan B, in case your Plan A fails. A Plan B should have the exact components as Plan A. So Plan B should consists hardware, software and network.

2. Set the scene
Donald Tsang or Victoria Beckham always sit or stand in front of a good background when they are portrayed in interviews. Make sure the things behind your back appearing on the screen that your interviewers will see are cozy and nice.

Set up the camera so it focuses on you. Apart from your face, it is good to include your shoulder, desk, and a little bit background in the view.

Optimize your scene setup by closing the windows to shut away noise from highways and neighbour. Remove any motion objects. Lock your dog in the bathroom (>_< as a matter of fact I DIDN'T). Turn off your voice devices. Turn off your phone in particular.



3. Get dressed
You may wrap yourself with a boring black suit when you attend face-face interviews. But depending on the nature of the job you applied, you can dress down a bit at video interviews. (Of course if you are taking the video interview in the office then you are already in your normal business attire) But no matter it is a shirt or a good quality cotton tee, it is wise to choose solid conservative colors, e.g. black, Royal blue, brown. White colour will reflect lights on screen and it does not look good.

Never wear something with stripes or lousy patterns. They make the camera mad because it is busy reconciling these patterns when you move, resulting in a subtle delay on the screen. Then your outfit looks like they are "vibrating".

3. Manage the microphone
Use a headset which is equipped with a microphone (aka the iPhone headset) to listen and speak. This enables clarity for both sides.

4. Keep an eye on yourself and look into the eyes of the interviewers
Monitor your appearance in the "picture-in-picture" screen from time to time. Be conscious about your body language.

Besides, make sure you maintain constant eye contact with the one whom you are speaking with and you pay attention to his/her facial expressions.

5. Simon, I have a question for you...
Simon, Peter and Sam. All these threesome are your interviewers at the video interview, but when you want to address Simon, you cannot "turn your head towards" Simon. Likewise, you cannot make direct eye contact with Simon when you are speaking to him.

It is therefore important to get the names of the interviewers beforehand, and to use the names to address the person when necessary.

6. Handy props
Plan about the interview flow. For example, if you are applying to a job at a fashion brand, you might show your most favourite dress from the brand when you are talking about your passion about the company.

7. Smile and make sure your smile is nice
Smile when you pause. Smile when you finish an answer. Smile gracefully when your interviewers are thinking about their next questions

Wear a bit China Red lipstick when you attend a video interview. So your smile speaks for yourself even when you are not speaking.

The Master of this spacious seaview apartment is a great man. He provides shelter protecting his woman and dog from storm and rain. He gives them love. And he feeds them.

His Golden Retriever is a lovely big dog. He has a black nose. Pitched on the upper half of her face is a pair of large eyes in dark brown. When you get closer and look straight in her eyes you will find her eyes become a bit light and transparent. She wears a golden coat which is dense and wavy.

Most Golden Retrievers make good watchdogs. But the dog featured here will hide behind her mistress's dress when a stranger approaches. And the mistress will hide behind his boyfriend, the master of the dog, when the situation is found at odds.

Obviously both the dog and the woman are very relaxing and mindless. This is because the Master is a superman that he is so capable to take care of every thing that his dog and woman have nothing to worry about

This man is a super hero.

憇美生活

雖然就是找不到自己喜歡的工作，但不太擔心財政，也沒有什麼大不了。人靜下來定下來，就像剛畢業時同學間的互勉：當放個長假吧。

現在的生活很好，但我仍然不時懷念獨居坪洲的一個寒暑。

廿七八歳，上巿公司主席助理，單身，獨居，一屋的書一牆的畫。早上八時起床，洗澡洗臉，抹一層防曬塗一㸃胭脂，跳入裙子甩著sling back,準八時廿五分跑到碼頭，小賣部��買一份火腿芝士三明治一杯奶茶，擠上快船，九時正我便站在國金二期電梯大堂，八小時的工作，六時半乘慢船回家，搖晃著回家先躺一回，八時許落樓吃一個晩餐，一定有羅宋湯，然後是意大利麵，開心時要一客木糠布丁，不如意時喝一杯酒，回家洗澡看一回電視，然後閱讀，並在音樂中自然入睡。

這種怡然自得的生活，實在令人懷念。

香港就是沒有伊底柏斯

我在打邊爐，一桌美食，熱氣騰騰，很安居樂業的樣子，還有昨天報載香港是最適宜居住的城市呢。

然而世界不是這樣的，頭頂的電視播放張炳良就打通大埔住宅涉嫌僭建的回應，他說他不知道，因為單位自上手業主購入時已經如此。

其時我口中咬著一粒手打肉丸，無醬可爆，但心情卻火爆。

買樓，不，睇樓，第一件事便是看圖則。圖則通常隨樓書附上。隨著資訊科技發展，二手樓樓書在互聯網上隨處可找到，當然經紀亦會向客人提供。看圖比較，一定是買樓以至睇樓的指定動作。

自制相連物業，看似一間屋，但合約以致樓契上卻仍然是兩個單位。就算經紀不說，客人懞然，律師還是會作出說明。香港以地產聞名，樓宇買賣過程規範，如此情形，買家卻推說不知情？

時愛夜蒲

搬進深山老井的日子，果然十分歸田園居。天天日上三杆才起床，攤成一灘水一樣看書，四點鐘頭戴大草帽吃個下午茶，五點半遛狗，六時多返家煲湯做飯，七時多男主人放工回家。

但我沒笨有忘記中環的夜夜笙歌。蟄伏了三個月，我思念音樂嘈到拆天型男索女又要扭又要傾計的場合。

穿一條白色低胸露腰露背的戰裙，到搬了家的Privé (餐廳「天與地」舊址）訂了一張檯。滿心歡喜地挽著剛下班的男伴，告訴他我是晚夜蒲的大計，他卻說：「十一點嘛...?但現在才七點半...」

這就是搬離中環的壞處了。以前可以在家小憇一會兒，洗個澡才出街玩通頂。現在已經沒有這支歌仔唱了。

最後我們到 Chater House 的 Armani Bar 去，他讓我喝了三杯 Bellini。Chater House 是 JPMorgan 的所在地，我左望右望同場的老外，無名火起呀。 男朋友說：「唔好咁啦，衣間都係 Privé 架嘛。」

Profiling the Mr. Mission Important

Working at the Bank has brought me things much more than just money and a chapter of working experience on my messy resume. The Bank is a truly globalised workplace where people from different background and cultures getting interacted.

I am never a big person. I never mean to be a big person, either. But I met a lot of big persons, mysteriously. The Bank was big and it was filled with people who are small but critical, and people who are big and...substantial.

露體狂的乾濕䄛

中學時曾經在又一邨遇見露體狂，我別的不會，木著一張臉的本事倒是與生俱來。面對露体狂，穿藍色校服裙的我不屑地打量眼前的男體，腳步卻未作停留。

露體狂穿的甚至不是乾濕䄛呢。

而我這件淡粉紅色 Burberry 乾濕䄛，表層布料帶膠質，防雨水，也就是一件雨衣模樣的外套。

但由於太似變態佬的乾濕䄛，所以除非滂沱大雨，否則我也不大敢於穿著。

夢是一個迷離的狀態。我是佛絡依德的信徒，自然我非常相信夢的隱喻（＜--玩野呀？！）。

前晚吃了50mg的seroquel，立即得番半條人命，昏睡在床上。身體發熱，混身冒汗，夢境延綿不絕。

我夢見我要生孩子了，進的是公立醫院的產房。我獨個兒一個人，羊水都穿了，但沒有陣痛。我向護士投訴產房太冷，她又居然讓我出街去補給保暖衣物。

我頂著大肚，半條人命（半條人命的感覺很強，鬼叫現實我吃了50mg的seroquel，真係得番半條人命咩），在尖沙嘴的百利商場行來行去。夢中的百利是九十年代的百利，三層樓開滿了形形色色的小店，其中一間賣 Burberry 童裝月下貨，很多 Trench Coats，價錢是專門店的十份之一，即二三百元一件。

我瘋狂購物，灰色的絨毛大衣、桃紅的春裝、櫻花顏色的外套，買了一大堆。而且要的是十二號，完全不懷疑自己產後修身的能耐。買完了，也就回醫院去待產。此時正午的陽光叫醒了我。

我跟枕邊人談這個夢。他認為「無咩特別啫你一向都係購物狂」。我心想我才不是購物狂，我又不是時時購物，但我不否認我一係唔買，一買就買好多 。找到了，然後沉溺，是我的個性。

像 Burberry 的 Trench Coat，自從 2007 年我發現她的童裝十二號的肩膊及腰線剪裁是如此吻合我的身形後我便每年都買一兩件。
