Satrapi’s work revealed to me that before the dictatorship, Iran was a highly advanced country in terms of pop culture and modern facets, with a broad global perspective. Little Marjane’s days before the dictatorship were filled with freedoms and individualism. I highly recommend the cartoon to people from all walks of life. #actresssonia
